“...In December 1999, I decided to go to NYC with my wife for the millennium 2000.
We were looking forward to this trip.
9 Hours fly later, we arrived at JFK.Tired, we wanted to go the hotel ASAP.
We collected our luggages “thanks God they were here”.
Just after the exit, one guy approached us and introduced himself as a taxi driver, he gave me a ticket and proposed to take us to our hotel. Great!!! Let s Go.
Arrived our “taxi driver” let us at the back of the hotel, put our bags on the pavement and asked me to pay 140 $ which I did. In fact, I should have paid 50$. This guy was not a taxi driver.
When the concierge of the hotel told us the real price, we were very upset and worry because anything could had happened with this kind of “taxi”. Our holidays didn’t t start very well, we were not in our country, we didn’t t know, we didn’t t speak good English.
Everything was booked by our travel agency, but one of the most important and risky, no.
Finally, this “bad thing” gave me an idea and this idea is what I do everyday since...“
As a customer I think the airport transfers should be suggested with a flight tickets to guaranty a good arrival.
How many travellers disregard this kind of service at home and pay more than they should for a poor service on their arrival and break their holidays?
